My son was going off to college and we were looking for corporate housing in Nashville. College is already expensive enough and when you add in the school housing, it’s typically more expensive than surrounding options.
Thankfully the college that my son was going to be attending had corporate housing in Nashville close by. This was going to save us a lot of money in the next four years or so. There are a lot of things that we had to do in preparation for him going toff to college. Like buying a bunch of his books, new clothes for winter and more.
The town of Nashville TN is a great place to go to school. As it had many opportunities to go outside and explore around. There a lot of fun places to go check out and a lot of bars for when he’s older.
It’s been hard to send him off to college, as he’s my only son and I’ll miss him around the house. It’s time to let the bird fly now and be off on his own. I think there is a lot of parents that would usually hold onto their children and give them no responsibilities. I’m quite the opposite though and will give him many tasks in the upcoming years.
When we went to visit the corporate housing in Nashville my son was so excited that he was going to be staying here instead of the dorms. To begin with, he wasn’t going to have to deal with any RA’s that would be pestering him. He would be able to live freely, even though I required him to have 1 roommate to split costs.
One of his best friends from our hometown was going to the same college, so it worked out that they’d be able to live together. I was happy for them once they moved all in and had everything set up.

He went off to college and has been living there for six months now. He’s completed his first semester and had no complaints about the place. I’m just happy that he loves living there and hasn’t had any drama with his roommate.
