Scouting locations for the new television series I’m producing out of Tampa FL has been one of my favorite parts of the process so far because I have been able to explore and learn so many new things about this place that I never knew before. I have unfortunately learned from past mistakes in the scouting process in which the final product did not live up to my expectations. Well, now that I have been able to grow from these mistakes over the years, I have not honed my process to be even more impactful and worthwhile than ever before. The result? I have had much more success and much more gratifying scenes in my carefully curated locations which have stood out in the best ways.
Because this work requires a certain level of relentlessness and energy, I often return home to my corporate apartment in Tampa at the end of the day and simply crash. So having the right kind of place to properly recharge and begin each day anew is almost as important as the shooting location itself.
