With so many people these days getting dogs, I have been expanding my grooming business to other places like Raleigh/Durham, NC. I have never had so many requests for grooming services ever before in my line of work. Of course there have been certain times of year and seasonal factors that play into the work, but the sheer volume has never been this high.
This seems to be a direct result of the pandemic and so many people getting dogs while they were in lockdown. Well I am a big proponent of having a furry family member join the mix, I have also seen some unfortunate issues as a result of people getting dogs someone prematurely.
This is also why there’s suddenly seems to be such a high demand for my services. I have even had to go so far as to illuminate taking more people on my waitlist because it simply is unmanageable at the current level.
I have spoken with friends and encourage them to start their own grooming businesses because there is simply so much demand and supply for these animals. We will see how things materialize in the future, but this is the current reality.
